This program is about the basic principles and practices of transformative mediation for third parties. Participants will engage in exercises and discussions that deepen their thinking about the nature of conflict and conflict interaction. The instructors emphasize the role of communication in conflict escalation, de-escalation, and transformation. Participants have the opportunity to develop and apply new skills in simulations and role plays.

This program is of value for mediators, managers, lawyers, and others whose work includes intervening in conflict.

We work in small groups, with a maximum of 14 participants, and with two trainers. This allows plenty of opportunity for participants to practice and to receive feedback from the trainers.

The four-day program offers 24 "contact hours", divided in two blocks of two days with a period of about a month in between. The first day of each block, we work from 10:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m., and the second day begins at 9:00 a.m. and ends at 5:00 p.m.

We offer this program in cooperation with Merlijn-groep in Nuland, Noord Brabant.
